The video was posted on the X platform on Thursday and has been viewed at least 1 million times. The video shows a “Haitian immigrant” and several other people who claim to have used multiple false identities to vote for Kamala Harris multiple times in different counties in Georgia.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), FBI, and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said in a joint statement that Russian operatives were involved in the creation of the viral video.
“The intelligence community assesses that Russian influence agents recently produced videos that falsely depict people pretending to be Haitians voting illegally in multiple counties in Georgia. “The activity is based on information available to the community and previous actions by other Russian influence agents, including videos and other disinformation,” a statement from the intelligence community read.
Meanwhile, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger's office called the video “deliberate disinformation” and said it was likely produced by a “Russian troll farm.”
Raffensperger directly asked billionaire Elon Musk and other social media owners where the video was posted to remove it from their platforms.
A spokesperson for Company X said the recording violated the company's policies and that “we will take action against such postings.”
American presidential election. Donald Trump vs. Kamala Harris
Most important from a victory standpoint are the so-called battleground states, or battleground states where the final vote results are still unknown. These regions include Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
The results will be announced in November, but the new president will not officially take office until January 2025. This is due to the American political system and constitutional provisions.
