The population of Poland will decrease to 36.6 million people by 2029 – according to the latest estimates of the Ministry of Finance, prepared to forecast the income and expenses of the Social Insurance Fund.
According to the forecast, the population of Poland will decrease from 37.5 million people in 2024 to 36.6 million people in 2029, i.e. 900 thousand people.
In 2029, the number of people of working age (0-17 years) will increase by 636 thousand people. smaller than in 2024 – the study wrote.
It is expected that the working age population (men aged 18 to 64 and women aged 18 to 59) will decrease by 0.61 million people in 2029 compared to 2024.

However, the number of post-working age population (men over 65 and women over 60) in 2029 will increase by more than 0.35 million people compared to 2024.
