This 27-year-old woman and her 38-year-old husband have been married for six years, and like most couples, their relationship has had its ups and downs, but she has always believed that her husband was serious about their life together.
“But then I stumbled across something that made me question everything,” she revealed.
Recently, she was looking into our joint bank account and stumbled across a number of bank transactions she didn't recognize. This prompted her to investigate further and discovered that payments were being sent to a woman she didn't know.
She ended up confronting her husband about it, and he admitted that he had in fact been sending money to one of his ex-girlfriends. The worst part is that it had been going on for three years.
Her husband continues to support his ex-wife financially, paying rent and living expenses, and even sending her gifts.
“His explanation was that he felt guilty about the relationship ending and was just trying to get her out of a difficult situation,” she recounted.
Her husband said he never expected his wife to find out about the transactions, and didn't think it was a “big deal” to send money to his ex-wife because the payments didn't have a significant impact on their finances.
However, she is understandably against it and believes that her husband has betrayed her and betrayed her trust greatly, and she cannot get over the fact that he has hidden this part of his life from her.
“What's worse, I'm hurt that he is prioritizing her needs over our relationship,” she added.
