The Seattle Mariners (64-62) and Los Angeles Dodgers (74-52) meet in the second of a three-game series at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday at 10:10 pm ET (MLB Network). Break down BetMGM Sportsbook's lines on Mariners vs. Dodgers odds and make your best betting predictions and forecasts from MLB experts.
Season series: Dodgers lead 1-0
We cashed all three bets on Monday after the Mariners lost 3-0 to the powerhouse Dodgers. LA cashed as a -143 favorite with the under (8) hitting. Seattle's offense continues to be an issue as they only managed two hits and struck out 12 times. They have scored a combined nine runs in their past six games, excluding Sunday's 10-3 win that ended a five-game losing streak for the Mariners. Outfielder Julio Rodriguez has played his part with a six-game hitting streak, but his power has been nonexistent, with 11 home runs this year.
The Dodgers are on a roll with three wins in four games and eight wins in 11 games. Third baseman Max Muncy made a successful return from the disabled list on Monday night, hitting a two-run homer in his first game in three months. The key to Tuesday's game will be how well starting pitcher Walker Buehler can control the game. Buehler allowed four walks in 3 1/3 innings in his last appearance.

Miller (9-7, 3.29 ERA) is making his 25th start of the season and has a 0.99 WHIP, 2.0 BB/9 and 8.2 K/9 in 139 2/3 innings.
Last start: Thursday vs. Detroit Tigers, no decision, 7 innings, no runs, 2 hits, no walks, 9 strikeouts, 2-1 loss Last seven starts: 3-0, 1.91 ERA (42 1/3 innings, 9 runs), 0.87 WHIP, 37 strikeouts One career start against the Dodgers: Sept. 16, 2023 at home, no decision, 5 1/3 innings, no runs, 4 hits, 1 walk, 4 strikeouts, 6-2 loss

Mariners vs Dodgers predictions and forecasts
prediction
Mariners 5, Dodgers 3
Money Line
I'm favoring the Mariners (-130) because Buehler has struggled with control all year – he's allowed three or more earned runs in five of his last six starts – and Miller has an impressive 1.91 ERA in his last seven starts.
Get the Mariners (+130).
Against run line/spread
Miller has struck out five or more batters in four of his last five starts, including nine in his last outing. I project Bryce Miller to strike out at least 4.5 batters (-110). The Dodgers have some hitters returning from the IL recently who are a bit hurt or in good form.
Over/Under
Temperatures are expected to be in the 80s with winds at 8 mph at first pitch, slowing to 5 mph shortly thereafter. Buehler is out of form, but the Mariners' lineup is dormant. Miller will have to go on a rampage to reach this total, so I'll bet on the under-9 (-120).
