On Thursday, August 22nd, Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors were welcomed to Meredith Communications for a welcome party for new employees.
General Manager Bill Salk introduced the ambassadors to new athletic director Chris Barney, who recently moved to the area from Grinnell. Chris comes to Meredith Communications with 30 years of experience and the title of 2023 Iowa High School Coaches Association Broadcaster of the Year. Barney is originally from Columbia, Maryland, but was fortunate to come to the Midwest to be closer to family. Barney looks forward to being part of the close-knit community and continuing to do the sports broadcasting he loves.
