In the house of a 39-year-old man from Zgierz County (Łódź Voivodeship) more than 9.5 kilos of drugs – mephedrone, marijuana and THC gummies, as well as equipment for their production worth about 50,000 PLN were found. This man was accused of illegal production and possession of drugs, and by the court's decision he was imprisoned for three months.
Officers of the drug crime department of the Łódź regional police department suspected for some time that a 39-year-old resident of the Zgierz district was involved in the illegal production of drugs.
During the observation, they noticed that a woman's Fiat car was approaching the man's house.

– The police decided to identify the woman. While on the property during this activity they smelled a strong odor of marijuana. They found a 39-year-old man in the house. On the suspicion of drug addiction, they searched the living and auxiliary rooms. In the basement of the house, they found five grow tents containing hemp fibers in various stages of growth. In another room, the police found a tent with dried plants. In total, they found 41 dead. Preliminary examination showed that it was marijuana, said Junior Asp. Mateusz Pilinski from the provincial police headquarters in Łódź.

Drug production equipment for PLN 50,000
Officers also found and seized several dozen jelly beans containing THC, mephedrone and a brown plastic substance, the police official added. – The police also confiscated drug production equipment, the total value of which was more than PLN 50,000. According to estimates, thanks to this action, more than 9.5 kilos of drugs will not reach the market, Junior Asp said. Mariusz Pilinski.
Lodz police threatens the 39-year-old with up to 20 years in prison
The 39-year-old man told the officers that he had the drugs for his own use. The prosecutor has accused this 39-year-old man of production and possession of narcotics and psychotropic drugs. At the request of the Zgerz district prosecutor's office, the court announced temporary arrest for three months. This man faces up to 20 years in prison.
