Police officers from Lubuskie wanted to stop a 27-year-old man in Bitnica for a road check. The driver fled. He took the wrong way to one of the streets, hit a wall and tried to run away on foot. After the arrest, it was found that the man was disqualified from driving and had drugs on him.
The incident happened on October 28 in Bitnica. The police decided to stop the driver of the Volkswagen Golf for investigation. When the man entered the property, officers warned him of the investigation and ordered him to stop. The driver ignored this order and ran away.
“While fleeing, this man did not respond to any signal received from the police car, he created a danger to the safety of other road participants, and also blocked the way for the officers, making it impossible to stop him,” the law enforcement agency said in a statement. Lubus police.
At one point, the driver took the wrong road to one of the streets and hit the wall. The police blocked his road to prevent his escape, but the man got out of the passenger side and tried to escape on foot. He was stopped after tens of meters.

This 27-year-old man had psychoactive substances and drugs with him. In addition, after checking the police systems, it was found that he was disqualified from driving.
The man told officers that was why he ran away and admitted that he had used drugs before. Blood was taken from him for further examination.
The 27-year-old has been charged with failure to stop for a traffic check, failure to comply with prescribed punishment measures and drug possession. If the tests confirm the presence of drugs in his system, he will also be charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
This man is threatened with imprisonment from three months to five years.
