Antoni Macerevich creates danger on the road, – explained the deputy of the civil coalition Monika Roza about the news about the “rally” of the former minister around Warsaw. Grzegorz Szetyna said that Macerewicz “was always like that.” – This is a man who is above the law and above the rules – Shchetina said.
On Friday evening, the police announced that the capital police officers had launched an investigation “on the case of misconduct” of the former minister. According to the statement, information about the “dangerous driving” of the politician in the center of Warsaw appeared in the media.
The police did not specify which politician it is about. On Thursday, the journalists of “Fakt” newspaper described Antoni Macerevich's driving and assessed that “this should lead to the loss of his driver's license”. According to them, the politician violated many traffic rules: he was talking on a mobile phone behind the wheel, overtook him at the pedestrian crossing, crossed the double solid lane and entered the bicycle lane.
“He could have crashed, he was talking on the phone”
“Antoni Macerevich clearly poses a danger on the road,” explained civil coalition deputy Monika Roza about the news about the former minister's “meeting” in Warsaw. – He could have caused an accident, he was talking on the phone, – said the deputy in an interview with TVN24, adding that “passing the lanes” is a reprehensible act.
According to Roza, this incident shows that “Macherevich, as always, does not care about the regulations.” “His actions are dangerous in this practical measure,” he said.
Grzegorz Szetyna, a senator from the civil coalition, said that Macerewicz “has always been like that.” In an interview with TVN24, the politician stated that when Macerevich was in the opposition, he was also “caught by the traffic police and paid a fine.” Later, as Shchetina said, she was “specially treated by Kaczynski, she had security and a company car, although she had no reason to use such luxuries.
– But then he also ran a red light, journalists documented it – added the Senator of the Civil Alliance. – This is a person who is above the law and above the rules, so I am glad that the police are opening an investigation as a matter of duty and I believe that he should be treated like any driver who breaks the law – he added.
