However, he stressed that a Republican victory does not necessarily mean a loss of the United States' position as the leader of the Western world. “There are people in the Trump campaign who are true to the tradition of Ronald Reagan,” he said.
Fried said that on domestic issues, Trump sees the United States as “not a country for all people, but a country for 'traditional' Americans, not immigrants.” – His rhetoric shows he prefers white America – he said.
Daniel Fried isn't worried about American democracy
The former ambassador is not afraid of American democracy. – Trump actually organized an insurrection at the Capitol to protest the election, but the organization at the time was strong enough to maintain constitutional order – he recalled.
