I believe that some contact between President Andrzej Duda and Donald Trump will be necessary to explain the issues of Ukraine and the situation in our region to him, said former President Alexander Kwasniewski in “Rozmova Piastskiego” on TVN24. He added that if he were Duda's adviser today, he would suggest that he engage in “the last mission, the last dance.”
Partial results of the US elections and polls show that Donald Trump has won 26 states and already has 266 electoral votes. He needs 270 presidential votes. Kamala Harris has received 195 votes so far. Most of the media, including Reuters and Fox News, are predicting Trump's victory.

Kwasniewski: We will know what kind of presidency it will be based on his actions and leadership
Former President Alexander Kwasniewski was asked on TVN24's “Rozmova Piastskiego” if he could predict what Trump's presidency would be like. He replied that he could not because “Trump is an unpredictable person, as even his supporters and associates say.”
– This may mean that he will be a good president, but it means that he will be an adventurous, irresponsible president who will cause us many problems, – he said.
– Only after action and promotion, we can know what kind of presidency and world time it is, – added the former president. He assessed that the possible victory of Trump “is not the end of the world” and “there is no reason to panic and commit irreversible actions”.
Kwasniewski: It took some contact with Trump
Kwasniewski was asked about the relationship between Donald Trump and Polish President Andrzej Duda. When he was asked if Duda could “shape Trump's policy towards our region”, he answered: – I don't know if I can shape or influence, but I will try.
– Of course, time is short, because Trump will take office in January. I don't think he will start receiving foreign guests soon. I believe that until May, that is, before the Polish elections – because then the Polish president still has a strong mandate – some contact with him (Trump – ed.) was necessary to explain to him the issues of Ukraine, to show him all the complexities to give – he said.

Kwasniewski said that “if he were Andrzej Duda's adviser today, he would strongly advise him to join this job, this last mission, this last dance.” – Even if this does not have a real effect, it will be the fulfillment of an obligation to Poland, to Ukraine, to our region, he said.
The former president emphasized that Trump “must get reliable information about the situation from the people, so as not to make mistakes, not to give in to dreams and not to give in to naivety.”
