After the explosion in a one-room apartment in Goldap (Warmia and Mazury), one person was taken to the hospital with burns. According to the police, on the same day, an elderly couple bought a gas stove and connected it to the cylinder.
The explosion occurred in one of the single-room apartments in Goldap on Thursday before 16:00, as TVN24 reported. Michal Herman, the press officer of the Goldap fire service, said the report was related to a gas explosion, but the service is still determining the cause of the explosion.

An explosion in a family building in Goldap
One person was injured
As Herman pointed out, when firefighters arrived at the scene, members of the family – an elderly couple – were standing outside. They were aware. The man was taken to the hospital due to minor burns, but the woman did not need to be hospitalized.
In the photos provided to us by the police, we can see shards of glass scattered around the building – the explosion was so strong that it destroyed at least two windows with frames and shutters.
Goldap police told TVN24 that the police interviewed an elderly couple, which indicated that the couple bought a gas stove that was connected to a gas cylinder today. However, it is not known whether this was the cause of the explosion or not.
