Inflation will increase to 5.6 percent in 2025 after the non-freezing of electricity prices – NBP forecasts in the “Inflation Report”. In turn, if the price of electricity remains flat, inflation in 2025 will be 4.3 percent.
On Friday, the National Bank of Poland published the “Inflation Report”, which contains the forecast of inflation and GDP (that is, the forecast taken into account changes in interest rates).
In October of this year, inflation was 5%, that is, in October 2024, the prices of consumer goods and services increased by 5% compared to last year. They increased by 0.3 percent compared to last month, – reports the Central Statistical Office.

The UN has prepared two forecast options, one of which envisages the complete liberalization of electricity prices for households. In such a situation, according to the so-called central way, inflation in 2024 will be 3.7%, in 2025 – 5.6%. and 2.7 percent in 2026
In turn, the central path of GDP growth with unchanged energy prices predicts that it will be 2.7% in 2024, 3.4% in 2025, and 2.8% in 2026.
The second version of the forecast assumes that electricity prices will remain frozen. Then the central path of inflation also predicts 3.7%. price increase in 2024, in 2025 – 4.3% and in 2026 – 2.8%.
In turn, the central path of GDP growth is 2.7%. GDP in 2024, 3.5% in 2025 and 2.9% in 2026
