Former singer of British-Irish boy band One Direction passed away on October 16th.
Prosecutors in Buenos Aires have announced that three people have been charged in connection with the tragic death of British musician Liam Payne. The former vocalist for the band One Directions died on October 16th after falling from the third floor of a hotel.
Among the suspects are members of the musician's entourage who accompanied him during his stay in Buenos Aires. She is charged with “abandoning” another person causing death, which in Argentina carries a sentence of five to 15 years in prison.
The other two defendants are described as a hotel employee and a drug trafficker. According to prosecutors, all three were charged with supplying drugs to the musician.
Inquest into Liam Payne's death
Toxicology tests found traces of alcohol, cocaine and prescribed antidepressants in Payne's system. Prosecutors also reported that the position of his body and injuries indicated he may have been unconscious or semi-conscious at the time of the fall.

The statement said dozens of eyewitness statements and expert opinions were collected during the investigation, and more than 800 hours of surveillance camera recordings were analyzed, as well as a list of calls and messages from the deceased musician's cell phone. He stressed that the data was also analyzed.
Prosecutors have not revealed the identities of those charged, but sources in the daily Clarin said the first suspect was Rogelio, an American entrepreneur living in Argentina and a friend of Mr. Payne. It is said to be Mr. Roger Noles. as his manager during the musician's stay in this country.
