On Sunday, on the eve of the National Independence Day, at the ceremony of awarding general nominations, President Andrzej Duda emphasized that accepting them means assuming an additional “huge responsibility” for the country's security.
Expressing hope that an “era of peace” will return to Poland, the president noted that today there is a large-scale war on the eastern border, which actually began in 2014. – These general promotion ceremonies have gained great importance in recent years – especially since 2014 and especially since 2022 – he noted.

Duda presented general and admiral candidates to twelve officers of the Polish army. The President also presented general awards to three officers of the State Fire Service and three police officers.
