It is known that Rafal Trzaskovsky, who proposed the primary elections in the Civil Alliance, has a campaign to prepare. Numerous meetings, including in Bydgoszcz, where his rival Radosław Sikorski comes from, as well as conversations with farmers, show that the president of the largest city in Poland remembers the countryside.
November 10 is the first day of campaigning before the primary election in the Civil Alliance. Rafal Trzaskovsky was at the Sheep Festival and in the discussion with the farmers – lest he be accused of being a candidate for a big city. The city and the countryside have common interests, said Trzaskovsky.
– The people of the cities want to eat high-quality food, and this is also a matter of price, – said the mayor of Warsaw, Rafal Trzaskowski.
In the afternoon, he held another meeting – in a big city – in Poznan, and last evening in Bydgoszcz. He was welcomed by the presidents in both cities.

Bydgoszcz is the region of his rival – Radosław Sikorski, who for a change paid tribute to Marshal Piłsudski in Sułewek near Warsaw.
– These elections will be about security. About how to keep Putin away from our borders – said Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslav Sikorski.
Who supports Sikorsky and who supports Trzaskovsky?
Advertising of both candidates has also started on the Internet. Sikorski was officially supported, among others, by the Deputy Minister of Justice, Arkadiusz Mircea, and a special appeal to the Platform politicians was made by Roman Giertić, a member of parliament from the PO list, but not a party member.
– Radek is a type of leader, he is a type of leader, – says Giertich in a recording published on the Internet.
Trzaskovsky's supporters answer as follows: if it were not for the PiS government apparatus and the extremely hostile government television, the president of Warsaw would already be the president of Poland.
– PiS tested it in 2020, so it will be considered – explains Katarzyna Lubnauer, Deputy Minister of National Education. – He performs very well at election meetings. He has already shown once that he is very close to victory, he adds.

But there is another calculation regarding the second round of elections.
– Which of these candidates has the opportunity to convince the voters that it is not theirs, not the coalition, not the program? In my opinion, this is Radosław Sikorski, – says Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska, a representative of the Civil Alliance.
Politicians should speak well of their candidate and refrain from criticizing their opponent. And so, focus on a positive message for the whole formation.
– This is the strength of the Civil Coalition, that we have the opportunity to choose among such good candidates, – says Minister of Sports Slavomir Nitras.
Before the vote, the members of the Civil Alliance will be informed about the results of the poll, but both candidates can openly say that they are fighting for the seat of the country's president.
Possible PiS candidates – such as Karol Nawrocki, head of the National Remembrance Institute – have yet to make clear statements. – The future is full of question marks and predictions, so it is difficult to answer – says Karol Nawrocki in response to questions about his candidacy.

None of the potential PiS candidates can step forward without being nominated by the party chairman.
The remaining parties of the ruling coalition have not yet announced their candidates.
