“This is not a political march,” say the politicians who occupied seats of the PiS club in the Sejm and participated in the Independence March in Warsaw on November 11. However, Confederate politicians see it differently and talk about political cynicism.
A few months before the presidential election, the leader of the country's largest right-wing party was supposed to appear at the “Independence March” and think about the victory of his candidate, although he had boycotted the “Independence March” for the last six years.
– However, many of our prominent personalities went to the march. We went to Krakow, but today we are here, – says Ryszard Terlecki, a lawyer for law and justice.

Not in the front row, but in the back, PiS politicians – perhaps the party's presidential candidate – demanded votes from the far-right and extremists.
For Confederacy, a right-wing PiS party, what Kaczynski and his party are doing is political cynicism. Even before the march, some nationalists publicly suggested on the Internet that Kaczynski should stay home. – They tried to discourage us among right-wing and conservative voters. They couldn't do it, so today they try to be around us and look like those who always celebrate independence in Warsaw, – explains the representative of the Confederation Krzysztof Mulawa.

“This is not a political rally”
The independence march in Warsaw is the one time a year that right-wing circles – often publicly calling for Polexit and turning their backs on the West – can count.
– When we were met on the streets by police fire and tear gas, Jarosław Kaczynski cowardly fled to Krakow, – says Confederation representative Witold Tumanowicz. – Every patriot should be here. This is not a political march. It's just a march of everyone who shares certain values - says Michal Wojcik, a lawyer for law and justice.

This year, according to the capital's government, 90,000 people passed through the city. Police officers arrested more than 60 people for possession of drugs and dangerous objects.
The return of PiS politicians to the march, which until now was dominated by Confederate politicians, is only proof that the presidential campaign and the fight for a right-wing government has begun.
