The latest incident happened around 8:30 on Legionow Street in Łódź. Services received information about a collision between a tram and several cars. After arriving at the station, it became clear that the situation was different.

– The tram was going straight from Zakhodnya Street to Legionov Street, and its carriage derailed and hit three cars. Fortunately, no one was injured, police officers are working on the scene to explain the exact circumstances of the incident, said Assistant Deputy Maksimilian Jasiak of the Lodz Police Department.

The spokesperson of the municipal company in Łódź, Piotr Wasiak, informed in an interview with tvn24.pl that the exact reasons for this incident will be explained by a special commission. – The car goes to the depot, and track and tram specialists will find out what happened – they protect the boxes, check the speed, explain everything – said the spokesperson of the carrier. This is the second incident involving a tram in the city of Lodz, which collided with a truck on Aleksandrovsk Street at 7 am, and the driver was injured.
