Referring to the situation in Ukraine, Radosław Sikorski, head of Polish diplomacy, said on TVN24's “Kropka nad i” that “decisions comparable to the Potsdam decisions are hanging in the air.” He added that the Council of Foreign Relations of the European Union is preparing for a “potentially dramatic” meeting on the matter next week.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was asked about the situation in Ukraine after the victory of Donald Trump in the presidential election on TVN24 TV channel, and what the European countries will do in this situation. – Decisions similar to Potsdam are hanging in the air, which can establish a new international order for decades. Today I talked about this with the high representative of the European Union for foreign policy and security, who was in Kyiv for three days, said the head of Polish diplomacy.
– Next week we really have the Council of Foreign Affairs of the European Union in mind. Public decisions will have to be made whether or not we are ready to release real funds, such as frozen Russian assets, to support Ukraine.
Sikorsky: Trump cannot tolerate a catastrophic defeat for Ukraine
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also spoke about what he thinks the new American administration can do about the war that is taking place outside our eastern border.
– The Trump administration cannot tolerate the disastrous defeat in Ukraine, because I remind you that the perception of the defeat in Afghanistan was the burden of the Biden administration. Not everything has been resolved here yet. I am talking with the closest circle of Donald Trump in the field of security – said the guest of TVN24.
