From January 1, persons over 100 years of age will receive an honorary allowance of PLN 6,246.13 per month, which is indexed annually – according to an act signed by President Andrzej Duda.
The Cabinet of the President announced on Thursday that the document on honorary privileges for the 100th anniversary has been signed.
This act is intended to replace the current and illegal mechanism of granting honorary privileges. Currently, it is given by the president of the Social Insurance Institution according to the decision of the Prime Minister in 1972 and treated as such. benefits by way of exception.

Assistance for 100-year-olds
According to the law, the allowance amounts to PLN 6,246.13 per month and will be indexed annually from March 1, 2025. Indexation in March takes place according to the same principles as in the case of indexation of pensions and annuities.
In the case of persons who do not have the right to a pension or annuity provided by the pension authorities, the right to an honorary allowance is granted on the basis of an application.
Persons with Polish citizenship are entitled to benefits. The new rules will come into effect on January 1, 2025.
According to the latest data of ZUS, 3300 people are currently receiving honorary allowances.
