Tomchik: they already know that there will be no impunity
Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk (KO) was asked about the allegations against the President of Wrocław, who was supported by another Civil Coalition in the last local elections. – I am proud of my country. We fought for such a state, that is, for a legal state that treats everyone equally. If Jacek Sutryk or someone else is found guilty and this is decided by the court, he will certainly have to resign from his post after the court verdict – said the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense.
When asked what will happen to President Sutryk before the court verdict, Tomczyk said that the president “must consider his presence in Wroclaw.” “Maybe his deputy will be appointed, but this is Jacek Sutryk's decision,” he added.
– I am absolutely sure that PiS deputies are shaking today. After what they saw of Jacek Sutryk, they know that justice will not pass them by. If I were a PiS deputy today and did something bad, I would be scared to death, he said.
– Regardless of whether someone is from this party or another party, everyone who has done a bad thing should get a chill down his spine today. If it seemed to the representatives of PiS that they were avoiding responsibility, after what happened in the case of Jacek Sutryk and what happened in the case of Karol Karski from PiS, they already know that there will be no impunity – he emphasized.
The former deputy of the Paris Parliament, Karol Karski, was charged with “corruption related to attracting influence in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to obtain a positive conclusion on the activities of the branch of the former Collegium Humanum University in Prague, Bratislava and Andijan, and in the case of the branch in Slovakia, a positive decision on the issue giving opinions in the field of pedagogy.
The guest of Friday's “Fakti po factach” newspaper stated that under the PiS government “this type of arrest, like the arrest of Jacek Sutric, could never take place.” – Today we see that the state acts equally and fairly, – noted the deputy head of the Ministry of Defense and emphasized that party affiliation is not important for justice.
“I have no doubt that I will vote for Rafal Trzaszkowski”
Tomczyk was also asked who he would vote for in the Civil Alliance primaries, in which Radoslaw Sikorski and Rafal Trzaskowski are competing for the group's presidential nomination. “I have no doubt that I will vote for Rafal Trzaskovsky,” he admitted.
He explained that, in his opinion, Trzaszkowski is a strong personality that is needed as the President of the Republic of Poland. – Trzaszkowski has been with us for 8 years, also before the return of Donald Tusk, he led us through this difficult period, he stood on all the barricades, won all the marches against Patrick Jacqui, conducted 160 inspections by the CBA and the prosecutor in the mayor's office and this system (during the PiS government – ed.) was not given a break – he said. – The biggest gun, TVP's hate gun, against him, like against Tusk, he continued.
– And when it comes to Radoslav Sikorski, I highly appreciate him as a minister, – noted Tomczyk. – I believe that such a trio, i.e. President Trzaszkowski, Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski, is really a dream team – he said. – This is the dream team, in my opinion, of many of our voters, – said Cezary Tomczyk.
