Donald Trump has revealed more cards for his future administration. There seems to be no end to the series of controversial nominations. The next president of the United States just recently announced who his second term White House press secretary will be. This is 27-year-old Caroline Leavitt, making her the youngest person ever to hold this position.
Donald Trump is slowly finalizing the details of his future administration. It is already known that his close collaborators include, among others: Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Marco Rubio. Currently, only 27-year-old Caroline Leavitt is in the group.
Caroline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary
Media reports say the choice of Caroline Leavitt to be White House press secretary is intended to make it clear that President Trump intends to aggressively defend himself from his critics. Levitt is said to have struck a chord with the president-elect with his harsh tone toward journalists who asked Trump uncomfortable questions during the campaign.
“I am confident he will do great at the podium and help convey the message of 'Make America Great Again' to the American people,” Trump said in a statement Friday.

The 27-year-old will therefore face the difficult task of providing reliable information and gaining trust in the eyes of media members, while maintaining a strong loyalty to her boss.
Levitt also becomes the youngest person ever to serve as White House press secretary. The previous record holder was Ron Ziegler, who was appointed by President Richard Nixon in 1969. Ziegler was 29 years old at the time.
Donald Trump relies on people he trusts
Caroline Leavitt is a New Hempshire native who served as White House deputy press secretary for part of President Donald Trump's first term.
When Trump lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden, she was appointed communications director along with Elise Stefanik, who will now serve as the United States' ambassador to the United Nations.
In 2022, Levitt won the Republican primary for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, but lost to Democrat Chris Pappas. Most recently, she was responsible for media contacts for the President-elect's campaign team.

In July, the 27-year-old went on a short break, during which she gave birth to her first child. She returned to work after only nine days off.
Joe Biden had two press secretaries during his term, Jen Psaki and Karine Jean-Pierre, but between 2015 and 2020, Trump managed to appoint four people to the role. The first three left the White House amid scandals and conflicts.
