On the night of November 10-11, two masked men broke into the Szczecin stock exchange. They tried to break the window of the cash register for almost a minute, but they did not succeed. They were probably scared off by an alarm and a nearby cashier. On Monday, the police announced that the perpetrators of the incident had been arrested. The owners of the facilities have published surveillance videos on social networks.
The Szczecin Regional Police Department reported that two criminals who tried to enter the currency exchange point were arrested. Both people have already been interrogated as suspects in the prosecutor's office and have opened a case against these charges.
“They couldn't break the glass”
The incident happened on the night of Sunday to Monday (November 10/11). Criminals broke into the currency exchange office in Szczecin's Slonecne district. They tried to break the windows of the cash register.
– The currency exchange is protected by a certified bulletproof glass. They hit the glass with a hammer about 50 times, but they could not break the glass. Artur Drobiazgiewicz, representative of the owner of the currency exchange point, said that the alarm was given by an employee who scared the criminals.
He added that the owner of the nearby exchange office helped and activated the alarm.

Monitoring was provided and witnesses were interviewed
Immediately after the incident, Chief Commissioner Anna Gembala of the municipal police office in Szczecin said that the police had secured surveillance and abandoned equipment and interviewed witnesses.
– The most important thing is that as a result of this incident, no one was injured and the criminals did not manage to take anything from the money changers, – said the policewoman.
