After about 18 pairs of shoes were stolen from a kindergarten, kindergarten authorities requested police help in tracking down the culprit. Additional surveillance equipment was installed in the hope of catching the culprit red-handed. This situation was unusual because individual shoes were missing, not the entire shoe. It turns out that the thief was a weasel, who probably needed the shoes to line up for the nest.
This entire process began in early November in the city of Koga in southwestern Japan. When 18 pairs of shoes were stolen from a kindergarten, the facility's management reported the incident to the police. Authorities installed three more cameras in the hope that the thieves would strike again and be caught red-handed.
Japan. One shoe started disappearing from kindergarten.
This incident was unusual in that the entire shoe did not disappear, but individual items. Ten students at the facility were injured. One of the cameras was pointed directly at a cabinet with shelves containing children's shoes. This issue was resolved several days after it was reported.

Police reviewed surveillance footage when one of the shoes was stolen again on November 11, the Guardian reported. The camera then captured the moment the thief stole the shoes. It turns out that the culprit was Itachi. The whole incident lasted only a few seconds. The animal ran up to the cabinet, grabbed the shoe with its teeth and ran away.
“We were very worried, but we were relieved when we found out it was an animal,” one kindergarten staff member admitted. A local police officer added that he had never heard of any similar incidents where weasels or other animals were the thieves.
Itachi was stealing the lives of children. she probably just gave birth
However, the question remains why the weasel stole the child's shoes. Hiroshi Sasaki, a professor at Chikushi Jogakuen University, believes it is likely that the animal, or more specifically the female, had just given birth and was vulnerable to the cold, so it was likely that she wore shoes to line her nest during the winter.
Unfortunately, so far we have not been able to determine where Itachi took the shoes. Kindergarten authorities hope this is an isolated incident and will not happen again. As a precaution, the lockers are fitted with nets to protect your shoes.
