“The electronic delivery system allows to receive and send official letters without leaving home, it will work from January 1, 2025,” the press service of the Ministry of Digitization said. In the first phase, the electronic transfer system covers offices, companies and professions of public trust.
Electronic delivery is the electronic equivalent of traditional letter items with acknowledgment of receipt. Their delivery system will start working on January 1, 2025. This is why most public trust offices, companies and professions allow citizens to conduct such correspondence with them, that is, both receiving and sending electronic transfers.
How to enable electronic transfer?
All people who want to use this option should set up an electronic drop box today. This can be done in a few simple steps. All you need to do is enter the address and the electronic delivery box.
This can be done in a few simple steps by submitting an application via the website mObywatel.gov.pl. This work should be done as soon as possible so that the new communication system with government offices can be used from the beginning of January. Detailed instructions on how to set up an address and an electronic delivery box can be found HERE.
Electronic transmission system – what is it?
Electronic delivery enables secure and fast communication between citizens and businesses and government agencies through an electronic delivery address. Thanks to this system, you can save time and costs associated with sending traditional documents. In practice, this means that all official letters and decisions can be received and sent electronically, without having to go to the post office or collect advice sent to the mailbox when you are away from home.
From the beginning of next year, the official correspondence of citizens and businesses with government authorities will be faster, more efficient and available from a computer or phone anywhere and anytime. Initially, this option will be available to most public trust offices, companies and professions. After all, all government entities and a large group of non-governmental entities have an electronic delivery address and an obligation to handle correspondence accordingly.
Electronic delivery has many advantages, the biggest of which is time savings. There is no need to stop at the post office to receive a notification, because the letters from the office come directly to your inbox. You can read and answer them anytime and anywhere – all you need is a computer, tablet or phone with internet access. There is also no need to go to the office to submit the necessary documents, because you can send a letter or request for free from the electronic delivery box.
Current notifications about new messages and the ability to check the status of official correspondence at any time are also a great convenience. Importantly, the electronic transfer system will be made available to citizens free of charge, so it will also be a significant financial saving for many people and forms.
“A step towards digitalization of public administration”
– The introduction of the e-Delivery system in Poland is an important step in the way of digitization of public administration. In this way, we move to modern communication, thanks to which citizens, companies and public institutions save time and money. Dealing with official matters online is becoming a daily occurrence, so electronic delivery, as the electronic equivalent of a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, is another piece of the digital puzzle. This conflict resolution improves the work of the state administration, facilitates faster exchange of information and, as a result, shortens the time for consideration of official issues – emphasizes Dariusz Standerski, State Secretary of the Ministry of Digitization.
In Poland, the National Electronic Delivery System (e-Delivery) is regulated as a trust service by the Electronic Delivery Act. It adapts national rules to European requirements, thanks to which electronic delivery is legally equivalent to a traditional registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt.
