134 kilograms of banned drugs were seized by Brazilian authorities. They were found in the hull of the ship Polsteam Žebsko, owned by Polska Žegurga Morska. However, the Liberian flag is being flown. On December 18, a joint operation was carried out at the Container Port of Santos, one of the largest container ports in Latin America, by officials from customs and tax authorities, federal police, the navy, and port security.
According to a report from the customs and tax agency Receita Federal, the prohibited substances were found in the bottom box (a chamber in the ship's hull below sea level used to collect seawater to cool the engines) and were found in the Glock's firearms and ammunition. He added that a magazine was also found.

They were discovered by one of the crew and reported to the ship's owner and local authorities. The captain and crew were banned from leaving the country for two months, but were granted permission to leave the country in early December and returned to Europe. No one has been criminally charged.
PŻM spokesperson Krzysztof Gogol, referring to the “Javor” incident, explained that the package was planted at night by a group specializing in such activities, probably working for a cartel. They were in one of the empty rooms between the superstructure and the hold. Gogol pointed out that commercial ships are increasingly being used to smuggle drugs.
