Three people were killed and at least four were injured in a bus accident near Hadsel, Norway. The car slipped and fell from the shore into the frozen water. Police said the road conditions at the time of the accident were very difficult.
The accident happened on Thursday afternoon on the E10 near Hadsel in the Lofoten Islands. According to witnesses, the driver failed to control the vehicle, which broke the protective barrier, and as a result, the bus plunged into the lake and partially drowned.
Police say the road conditions at the time of the accident were terrible. A blizzard limited visibility, iced the road, and wind gusts reached 100 km/h.

There were 58 people on the bus, most of them foreigners. Police say they are from India, Singapore, Malaysia, Holland, France and South Sudan. The Chinese Embassy in Oslo, according to VG, confirmed that at least twenty passengers were Chinese citizens. There is no information that Poles are among the wounded.

There is a strong storm in northern Norway. Up to half a meter of snow will fall in the area where the accident occurred within the next 12 hours. The Meteorological Service has warned of wind gusts of up to 100 km/h.
