2. Zelensky spoke with representatives of the Polish press
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy gave an interview to four Polish newsrooms: TVN24, Onet, “Rzeczpospolita” and “Krytyka Politiczna”. The leader of Ukraine talked about the situation on the front and, in particular, answered the question whether the war could end this year.
The editorial teams were represented by Konrad Piasecki, Bartos Weglarczyk, Michal Szuljinski and Slawomir Sierakowski.
3. Storm in Slovakia after a gesture of a student
The confusion caused by Simon Omanik, a pupil of one of the secondary schools in Bratislava, is still ongoing. The 19-year-old refused to shake hands with Slovak President Peter Pellegrini.
The Slovakian press is full of both flattering and critical comments about the political manifestation of the boy. The president, prime minister and many other politicians spoke about it.
4. Biden delivered his farewell message to the nation
US President Joe Biden said in his farewell message to the nation that an oligarchy with enormous wealth, power and influence is emerging in America, which threatens our democracy and freedoms.

5. The Metropolitan of Krakow was released from the Chapter of Cracoviae Merenti
By decision of the councils, after long deliberations, the metropolitan archbishop of Krakow, Archbishop Marek Jedraszewski, no longer sits on the chapter of the Krakow Merenti medal, awarded for special services in Krakow. His place is occupied by the director of the National Museum of Krakow.
The representatives of “New Left” demanded the dismissal of the metropolitan. The reason, they argued, was the Archbishop’s statements and actions. Marek Jedraszewski. However, – as they emphasized – the point is that the function of the metropolitan should be excluded from the composition of the chapter, that is, the successors of Jedrashevsky will not sit in this body either.
