Rumours of Until Dawn 2 have begun swirling again after fans discovered a developer resume that appears to hint at the sequel – belonging to a writer at PlayStation Studio Firesprite, which has long been known to be developing a horror game for PS5.
Why the Until Dawn 2 speculation makes sense
Firesprite game writer Ren Alex-Rose's resume, spotted by MP1st, mentions an “unannounced branching horror adventure game” within an “existing IP.” The website also uncovered a portfolio page for Firesprite game designer Emily Stell, revealing she's working on a narrative horror game for both PS5 and PC.
Now, that last bit is certainly interesting. Until Dawn is about to be remade for PS5 and PC, and there's also a movie based on the game in the works. It would make sense for a sequel to be released on both platforms. We also know that the sequel is unlikely to be developed by the original team, since Supermassive Games and Sony have parted ways.
Additionally, journalist Jason Schreier previously hinted that the new Firesprite game wouldn't be new IP, and MP1st's discovery backs that up, leaving fans convinced that the rumors that Until Dawn 2 is in the works are true.
