– Our child entered. It was not easy – our friends' children did not enter, but we succeeded. – I had to pay for a private nursery. Now, when I got a place in the public school, I can say that it is a relief, – parents said when we asked them how long they had to wait for their children in kindergarten. In Poland, the problem of availability of places in kindergartens, especially in big cities, has existed for years. Thanks to KPO funds, Poles can count on an increase in the number of places in public and private kindergartens, making access to childcare much easier. WP reporter Marek Gorczak asked parents from Podlasie how the situation is now. – In fact, we got there quickly. My daughter was born in March and left in September. I know others expected more, so we were positively surprised that we went to the kindergarten we wanted, added another parent. The change is slowly felt among the parents. One of the mothers told us that her child had to wait a long time for a place in a public kindergarten before the KPO funds were released. The material was developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and Regional Policy.
