If you have a choice between attending the swearing-in ceremony and, on the other hand, the real possibility of a visit by Donald Trump at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Poland in the future, it is definitely worth considering. the latter – the head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siviera, said in “Facti po factach”. In this way, he referred to the invitation to Andrzej Duda, the President of the United States of America, and Donald Tusk, the Prime Minister, at the inauguration ceremony of Trump’s presidency.
– I am an unfortunate diplomat (…), but I know something else. If the choice is the opportunity to participate in the swearing-in ceremony in the USA and talk with the president-elect, and on the other hand, the real possibility of the visit of the president (Donald Trump) at the invitation of the president of the Republic of Poland in the future, it is definitely worth paying attention to it, – said Jacek Siviera.
But the head of the National Security Bureau noted that “heads of state have never participated in the swearing-in ceremony of subsequent US presidents”.
Siviera: Ukraine is still on the table
Jasek Siviera was also asked if he knows what the idea of the new American administration is to end the war in Ukraine. – Undoubtedly, this war should be carried out (…) in a way that is acceptable and consistent with the will of the leaders of Ukraine, – said the head of the National Security Bureau. As he emphasized, “Ukraine is still at the negotiating table.”
