Austrian police ended their search for Roland Drexler on Saturday. Officers have discovered the body of a 56-year-old man who was being investigated in connection with a recent shooting incident. Two people who had provided advance information about Drexler's criminal activities died there. He organized illegal hunting.
On Saturday, Austrian police announced they had ended the search for Roland Drexler. His body was found in a forest in Upper Austria, near the Czech border. Police spokesman David Fultner told The Associated Press that the 56-year-old man may have taken his own life. This is indicated by the fact that a weapon was found near the body.

The shooting took place on Monday. Draxler set a trap for Franz Hofer, eight years his senior, the mayor of the commune of Kirchberg ob der Donau, who was planning to go to the nearby town of Fraunschlag. The senior was shot twice.

Draxler then drove to Alnwright and shot and killed the 64-year-old former police officer in his home. The man reportedly acted “as if he were mad.” Both victims were hunters.
Bild newspaper reported that both victims knew Drexler and reported him for hunting crimes. The last time this happened was October 22nd. He is suspected of setting illegal traps for animals while hunting.
