A long-awaited performance review of local public hospital district Central Health, ordered by Travis County, found no significant deficiencies in the agency's operations but recommended reforms aimed at improving Central Health's financial oversight practices.Central Health has requested that the audit hearing be postponed, saying it needs time to develop responses to the recommendations made in the report.The performance review was completed by international audit and tax firm Mazars. As a result of their research, a team from Google and Tel Aviv University have developed a generative AI game engine that can simulate the cult favorite DOOM at over 20 frames per second. The research, detailed in a paper (PDF) published yesterday, shows how the reinforcement and diffusion models can be used to simulate a game engine in real time.
