PC: UHERO Report Hawaii residents living in rural areas experience significantly more health problems than their urban counterparts, according to a first-of-its-kind report from the University of Hawaii Economic Research Organization (UHERO). The report, released Sunday, also found that the problems are even greater for rural residents with disabilities and those who live in poverty. The data was collected through a survey of 1,571 residents, of whom more than 20% reported living in rural areas, in June 2023.
