The Louisiana Improvement Council's list of 35 indicators, designed to measure Louisiana's overall well-being, is trending slightly downward from the same period last year. Compared to the indicators released in August 2023, the state has made progress on about half of the indicators and regressed on the same number of indicators. Some have remained unchanged. McLeod Health Dillon August 15, 2024 On July 31, 13 young people from Dillon County were recognized for their participation in the 37th annual Teen Volunteer Program at McLeod Health Dillon. Over the summer holidays, young people volunteered for at least 20 hours a month, working directly with medical professionals at the hospital and gaining experience in a range of medical professions. The 2024 volunteer group volunteered a total of 642 hours.
