Building on the momentum of its new SoHo store opening this spring, Banana Republic is bringing its new lifestyle concept to Los Angeles' Westfield Century City.
The 7,589-square-foot space will combine fashion, art and global culture, and offer new on-site services to prolong your stay.
The store has a coastal vibe and welcomes the outdoors, with several rooms, overstuffed seating to lounge on, a bar, and on-site tailoring and embroidery. The store was designed in collaboration with architect and interior designer Noah Santos (Nainoa), with creative advisor Jacqueline Schnabel selecting the artwork.
The space will feature the retailer's August clothing collection for men and women, with denim and khaki tones paying homage to its safari roots, as well as BR Classics cashmere, linen and suiting, as well as an expanding range of lifestyle products from the Gap Inc. brand's home décor collection.

Shoppers can pick up items like Banana Republic's Cote Bougie scented candles from Morocco, Turkish towels, cashmere pillows and decor items like $50 cowbells.
Like the SoHo store that opened in May, the Los Angeles location offers a different feel for the retailer as it seeks to revive its operations under Gap Inc.'s new Chief Executive Officer, Richard Dixon, who said the redesigned stores will offer “a sophisticated aesthetic rooted in rich storytelling and exploration.”
Banana Republic has struggled in recent years and is trying to regain the status and popularity it had decades ago. But Dickson said the brand is seeing improvement through “enhancing” classic styles and emphasizing “premium fabrics,” particularly leather and suede. Banana Republic's first-quarter net sales were $440 million, up 2 percent from a year ago. Same-store sales were up 1 percent. The brand is still searching for a new CEO.
