He tied a rope to the bag in his hand and waited on the other side of the door for someone to come and take the package. When this happened, he pulled the rope. This is how an 88-year-old man from Bialystok defeated fraudsters pretending to be policemen.
It started when an 88-year-old resident of Białystok received a phone call from a man who claimed to be a police officer investigating a group that defrauded the elderly.
To help catch the criminals, the man must prepare the savings collected in the house and place them in a bag on the doorpost.

He pretended to count the money and rolled the cloths in the bag
“The employee immediately realized that he was talking to a fraudster, but he continued the conversation anyway. He said that he had 40,000 PLN at home and pretended to count the money, tying tissues in a bag,” the message reads. Białystok City Police Department website.
The old man covered the handkerchiefs with small money and placed them on the table. He attached a rope to the bag and tied it to his hand. Then he closed the door and waited for the person to take the cash.

He took the bag from the “policeman”.
“Still on the fraud line, he felt a tug. The 88-year-old man pulled the rope into the apartment, and the ear pulled him in the other direction,” said the police.
After some time, the adult opened the door and took the bag from the “policeman”. He immediately ran away. The big man did not lose money. Then he went to the police and told everything.
