Airplane crash in Gramado
Gramado is located in a mountainous area that is the most popular tourist destination in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The area was flooded earlier this year by heavy rains that killed more than a hundred people, destroyed infrastructure and devastated the local economy.
The tragedy happened a few days before Christmas, when the city usually hosts Christmas celebrations.
