A police statement quoted by AFP said that the reason for the attack was his failure in university exams and his dissatisfaction with the salary of the trainee.
Another knife attack in China
This is the second stabbing attack in China in recent months. In September, a Japanese student was stabbed to death in the southeastern city of Shenzhen. In the same month, a knifeman killed three people and injured 15 in a Shanghai supermarket.
In October, a 50-year-old man was arrested outside an elementary school in Beijing and stabbed five people, including three children.
Saturday's stabbing is the second fatal incident this week. On Monday evening, a 62-year-old man drove his car into a crowd in Zhuhai, southern China, killing 35 people and injuring more than 40 others.
