Sad footage from the Valencia region after the recent floods that hit Spain. The AP agency published the latest records showing the effect of this element. Drone shots have captured a half sunken bridge. The drone's eye also identified severe railway infrastructure scattered within a radius of several hundred meters. There is still a lot of mud on the outskirts of Valencia, as exemplified by videos of cars standing on the side of the road. The heavy rain and flash floods, known as DANA, brought more than 300mm of rain in one day in some places, with Chiwa city recording up to 500mm of rain in just 8 hours. The floods caused significant damage, including broken bridges, inundated roads and damaged railway lines. In total, more than 200 people were killed. High-speed rail traffic between Valencia and Madrid has been suspended for more than a week. Many local routes have also been disrupted. It is estimated that it will take several weeks for high-speed lines to be fully operational again, including cleaning up flooding in towns and villages where streets are still muddy.
