A few days before the presidential inauguration, Donald Trump’s team published official photos of the future president of the United States and his deputy, Vice President-elect Jay Dee Vance. The American media draw attention to the similarity between Trump’s new photo and the police photo taken in August 2023 in the Fulton County Jail.
Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony will be held on January 20 in Washington. A portrait of the incoming president and his running mate, Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, was released on Thursday as the Republicans took power.
The American media draws attention to the similarity between Trump’s new photo and the police photo taken in August 2023 in Fulton County Jail. This photo was taken in connection with his formal arrest on 13 charges related to efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. He was released from custody after posting bail set at $200,000.

Washington is preparing for the inauguration
There are thousands of people who will provide security for Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025. The US National Guard alone has about eight thousand soldiers on standby. The Capitol itself is surrounded by a wall, the total length of which is about 50 kilometers. “The Secret Service is recruiting agents and other professionals from field offices across the country to provide a full range of visible and invisible security measures,” Matt McCool of the Secret Service said at a news conference on Tuesday.
Every inauguration ceremony of the American president is associated with extraordinary security measures, but due to the fact that there was an attempt on the life of Donald Trump during the election campaign, all services remain on high alert.
