Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on the presence of PiS presidential candidate Karol Navroki at the farmers’ protest, where slogans against the European Union appeared. “The question is simple and deadly serious: do you want a president who will build a secure and strong Europe, or someone who, along with Putin and his allies, will destroy it?” – he wrote.
On Friday, a farmers’ rally was held in the center of Warsaw. The delegation of farmers was accepted into the delegation of the European Commission. The participants of the show ended in front of the building of the National Theater, where in the evening there was a ceremony dedicated to the beginning of the work of the Polish Presidium in the Council of the European Union.
Warsaw Municipality reported that, according to estimates, about 1,500 people took part in the protest. The demonstration was held under the slogan “5 x ist” – farmers demonstrated their opposition to the European Union – the Mercosur agreement, the green deal, imports from Ukraine, “deforestation and poaching in Poland” and “the collapse of the Polish economy”.

During the demonstration, farmers carried banners with the following inscriptions: “Down with the green order with the criminal agreement of Poland” and “Polexit”. In particular, PiS presidential candidate Karol Navroki took part in the demonstration. – Today, every candidate for the position of the president of the Republic of Poland who thinks in Polish is here, – said Nawrotsky.

Tusk on ‘deadly serious’ question
“When we together with President Trzaszkowski and Marshal Holovnia opened the presidency of Poland (Council of the European Union – ed.), K. Nawrocki demonstrated with a group of activists under the slogan “Polexit”, – wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Saturday morning. Platform X.

On Friday, the opening ceremony of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union was held in the Grand Theater – Warsaw National Opera. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the highest state authorities, including the President of the European Council Antonio Costa and Prime Minister Donald Tusk. “If Europe is powerless, it will not survive,” the prime minister emphasized. President Andrzej Duda, who was one of his advisers, did not attend the ceremony.
