Trading in products containing fly agar can be fined up to PLN 1 million. They will be treated like drugs or legal highs. Internet trade is developing, which is the reason for this concern.
Red by nature is now blacklisted. “Any form of use of the fly is now illegal,” says Dr. Pawel Grzesiowski, chief sanitary inspector.
For those who do not know that fly agar can be used for everything – the Internet is full of suggestions, tips and recipes for dried mushrooms, infusions, ointments, creams and tinctures of poisonous mushrooms.
– There are announcements on social networks – notes Maciej Krzak, chief forest officer of the Forestry Service of Boleslawiec Forest District. – They are recommended for people with skin diseases, for example, cellulite, – describes prof. Pavel Ramos, specialist in pharmaceutical analysis at the Medical University of Silesia.

Anyone selling mosquito nets for cellulite better stop. The head of the sanitary department has just banned the sale of all things that contain this mushroom. – They are forbidden to trade, trade and sell. The chief sanitary inspector can impose fines from PLN 20,000 to one million on the entity that introduces such substances to the market – reports Jakub Golab from the Ministry of Health.

They found two psychoactive substances
A special group of experts of the Ministry of Health and Sanitary Control examined the red fly and found two psychoactive substances from it. – The team unanimously decided to place these two ingredients on the list of prohibited substances – says Dr. Pawel Grzesiowski.
These substances are harmful and act as hallucinogenic drugs, which is known in departments of toxicology. – There were patients who were excited, without logical connection, restless, talking, in a completely unreal state, without logical connection with reality, – recalls Dr. Erik Matushkevich, toxicologist of the municipal hospital. And the fact is that cats are not meant to be eaten, drunk or spread. – Our ancestors used this mushroom as a bait for flies: mucho snake, or death for flies, – points out Maciej Krzak.

This prohibition is now monitored by the sanitary and epidemiological station. – We are trying to remove them from the distribution channels that were working until now, – informs the chief sanitary doctor.
At the beginning of next year, anti-fly substances will be included in the list of the ministry. Then they will be considered as drugs or legal highs – It will also be possible to file a criminal case as if they were introduced into circulation – explains Yakub Golab. And for this, the wood seller will face prison.
