An 80-year-old driver crashed into a crowd enjoying a Christmas fair in a British town. The man tried to leave the parking lot, but suddenly lost control of his vehicle. Seven people, including children, were injured in the accident.
The incident occurred during a Christmas market in Chipping Sodbury, an English town near Bristol. According to information from witnesses, the 80-year-old man was attempting to leave the parking lot when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle.
He failed to hit the brakes and crashed into the crowd on Main Street. Local police confirmed that seven people were taken to hospital due to the impact. The injured included five adults, one child and one infant.

– Suddenly, I saw him run out of a parking space at high speed and hit several people. In front of the car was a mother with her baby in a stroller. Apparently, he hit several people, including a family member, from behind. Ambulances, police and fire services arrived within five minutes, witnesses told the BBC.

Police, five ambulances and a rescue helicopter were called to the scene. A local police spokesperson assured that although the incident appeared dangerous, no lives were at risk as it occurred at a low speed.
Officials did not decide to close the fair. High Street, Hobbs House Bakery towards Broad Street and some events on Horse Street remained open.
