In Ozorków (Lodz Voivodeship), 17 people were evacuated from a burnt residential house. No one was injured in the building fire. The firefighters have already brought the fire under control, but as a result of the firefighting operations, the houses were flooded. – Residents of this apartment building can enter their apartments and take their valuables, – said the commander of the firefighting squads in Tsgierc.
On Thursday, before 11 o'clock, a fire broke out in an apartment on Stipulkovskiego Street in Ozorkov. Nine people lived in this building and they evacuated themselves. We first received information about this event through Kontakt24.

Evacuation of residents
– Upon arrival, the firefighters checked these rooms and evacuated the neighboring apartment, because there is a real danger to the health and life of the residents there. In total, we evacuated 17 people. There is no damage. There was material damage, said the brigadier in an interview with TVN24. Adam Antchak, District Commander of the State Fire Service in Zgerts.

The chief explained that the fire started near the stove in the boiler room. The fire spread to the attic of the apartment.
– The boiler was located next to this building, while the chimney pipe passed by the attic, and this is the probable cause of the fire, – explained Antchak.
Difficult operations of firefighters
The fire chief of Zgierz said that the fire has already been extinguished. – Residents of this apartment can enter their apartments and take their valuables (…). “Unfortunately, as a result of the firefighting work, the apartments were flooded due to the construction of this roof,” says the brigadier.
The commander said that access to the place of the fire was difficult due to the fact that the roof was covered with “many layers of roof moisture and on top of it metal tiles”. – We had to tear off practically the entire covering of the roof, – he emphasized.
