The anti-missile base in Redzikovo will be officially opened on November 13, the head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siviera, said.
– It seems that Independence Day is a good time to talk about this. Today, the president will go to Azerbaijan directly from the state celebrations, but on the way back he will land in Gdańsk, and from there he will go directly to the official opening ceremony of the Aegis anti-missile base in Redzikovo. This week will be Wednesday – Jacek Siewiera reported on Monday in Polsat News.
The Chairman of the National Security Bureau also informed that the President along with high-ranking representatives of the state, including: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Vladyslav Kosniak-Kamys and representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance, will attend the event.

Under the command of NATO
– This is a base of the US Navy, but the very interesting feature is that it is assigned to the NATO command, EUCOM, that is, the command of American forces in Europe. As an American base, it performs transatlantic defense tasks by suppressing high-level air and ballistic missiles, maneuvering from areas outside the Euro-Atlantic region, in a very broad sense, explained the head of the National Security Bureau.
