Meteorologists of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued warnings of the first level on a three-level scale.
IMWM Warning – Freezing Precipitation
The following voivodeships are under a level one warning due to freezing rain causing black ice:
Western Voivodeship, in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Northern Voivodeship; Podkarpackie Voivodeship; Voivodeship, in the Southern Povias, in the Southern Povias;
The warning will be in effect until 9:00 a.m. Monday.
IMWM warnings – strong wind
IMWM also warns of strong winds. Yellow alerts were issued in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship in the counties of Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok, Krosno, Krosno and Jasło and the Gorlice Poviat in the province. Little Poland.
Winds are forecast to average up to 40 km/h with gusts from the southwest up to 85 km/h. The warning will be valid until 6 on Tuesday.
Warning RCB
The Government Security Center has sent an RCB alert to Gorlis district. “Attention! Very strong winds are predicted for January 6th and 7th. Be careful when exercising outdoors. Do not stay under trees or park,” the message reads.
What are IMWM’s first level warnings?
Conditions are expected to favor the occurrence of hazardous meteorological phenomena that can cause material losses and threaten health and life.
