After an extensive search process, Irvington Schools and the Irvington Board of Education are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jerrod Blair as Director of Technology and Innovation, effective September 6th.
“Dr. Blair is an experienced, conscientious and innovative educator who is passionate about the intentional integration of technology and supporting teachers, students and parents as they navigate new technology,” said Dr. Mara Ratesick, Head of School. “He has experience with multiple student information systems, including Infinite Campus, cybersecurity and data protection planning, and has led a variety of technology teams, including network engineers, technology specialists and data team members.”
Throughout her career, Dr. Blair has led professional learning communities on a variety of topics, including artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and project-based learning. Her colleagues describe her as an outstanding individual in her field and a dedicated, collaborative administrator who is able to work with people of all ages. Dr. Blair most recently served as the Director of Technology Innovation for the Croton-Harmon Unified Free School District. Prior to that, she was a STEM Supervisor and a middle and high school science teacher.

I look forward to working with our dedicated educators, staff and community to continue to foster an innovative and supportive learning environment for all students.”
Dr. Blair earned her doctorate in educational leadership from Manhattanville College and her Master of Education, Advanced Certificate in Educational Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
