In the first days of this year, we still have a mild winter. Cold weather is coming to Poland and it is snowing with it. It may turn white in some areas, but it won’t take long to cool down.
– Poland is under the influence of a wide low pressure vortex, which contributes to the development of a large cold gulf that expands from the Arctic to Europe. It will cover Poland and before it a cold front of the atmosphere will appear, which will move over our country, reports tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Piziolek.
Thursday will be moderate to heavy clouds. Rain and snow fall from the north to the south and are 5-10 liters per square meter. In the evening, it will snow up to 2-3 centimeters in some places. The rain will not only reach the south-eastern corners of Poland. The maximum temperature will rise from 4 degrees in Pommern and Suwalki region, to 5-6 degrees in the center of the country, to 8-9 degrees in Malopolska. The wind blows from the south-west direction, moderate and very strong, it blows up to 60-80 kilometers per hour.
Friday will be cloudy with some rain. Sometimes it snows up to 1-4 centimeters, only in the southern regions it should not rain. Thermometers in the north-east and east show 0 degrees of cold, up to 1 degree in the center of the country, up to 3 degrees in Silesia. The wind is moderate to very strong from the west, especially in the southeast, with a speed of up to 60-80 km/h.

On Saturday, the weather will be cloudy and it will rain a little. There is little snow in Pomnr. The temperature in the hottest part of the day in the Podlasie region will be 2 degrees, in the central regions up to 0 and 1 degrees, in the west up to 1 degrees. The wind blows slowly and moderately from the west, sometimes very strong, with a speed of up to 50 km/h.
Sunday will be cloudy, although the weather will be brighter. Up to 5 centimeters of snow will fall in the southern regions. Thermometers in the north-east show 2 degrees of cold, in the center of the country up to 0 degrees of cold, in Silesia up to 2 degrees of cold. It gets hotter
Heavy cloud cover is forecast for Monday, Thanksgiving Day. Up to 5-8 centimeters of snow will fall in the north-east of Poland, and road conditions will be particularly difficult there. In other districts, it will snow and it will rain up to 5-10 l/m/sq. The maximum temperature in the Suwalki region will be 0 degrees, in the center up to 4 degrees, in Lower Silesia up to 7-8 degrees. The wind is moderate from the south, very strong in the south, with a speed of up to 60-70 km/h.
