The National Security Bureau has nothing to hide when it comes to the activities of Antoni Macerjevic, said Jacek Siviera, the head of the National Security Bureau, on TVN24 television. At the same time, he emphasized that he may have a “very broad confession” towards the former head of the Ministry of National Defense. – I have doubts about the leadership of the Ministry of National Defense at that time. The Homeland Security Bureau associates those times with the worst possible times, he said.
On October 30, the head of the Military Counter-Intelligence Service and the head of the commission investigating the influence of Russia and Belarus presented the results of the commission's work at a conference. General Yaroslav Strozik announced that the commission will submit an application to the prosecutor's office regarding the possible diplomatic treason of the former head of the Ministry of National Defense Antoni Macerevich. This includes, among other things, the withdrawal of the ministry from the program to acquire air tanks.

During the conference, Strozyk said that in July he was encouraged by a very senior official close to the president (Andrzej Duda – ed.) to send a letter because “the president would be happy to share information about the gaps in the modernization of the Ministry of Defense. National Minister Macerevich “”. – I regret to say that despite the committee's letter, we received a negative answer that there is no such information. Therefore, the thesis that the president's entourage – because I don't think the president himself – hides information about the activities of the Minister of National Defense in 2015-2018 from the commission, – added Strožyk.

Sivier: The National Security Bureau has nothing to hide when it comes to the activities of Antoni Macerjewicz
The head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siviera, was asked about this in the “Piasecki Interview” on Thursday. He was asked if he was the person who told the head of the commission that the president would gladly share his knowledge about Antoni Macerevich. – If this statement is related to a meeting that was a closed item, we will not talk for obvious reasons, – he said. At the same time, he emphasized that “when it comes to the activities of Minister Antoni Macerevich or any special knowledge, there is nothing to hide in the National Security Bureau, so there is no reason here, and the president will, of course, be happy. to share such material if there is a legal basis.”
As he added, “the legal basis of the activity of the current commission concerns the ministries subordinate to the Cabinet of the Prime Minister.” – If I share documents or other materials in any way, it would be an abuse of power, – he emphasized.
– I spoke with both the chiefs of generals – both the deputy prime minister and the head of the Ministry of National Defense Vladyslav Kosiniak-Kamys and the Minister of Internal Affairs Tomasz Simoniak. These ministries may request documents and information. In both cases, this type of documentation is on their side, because everything that happened during the time of Minister Macerjevic, in the Ministry of Defense, in their archives, there are traces, so there is nothing to hide, but of course there is. no reason to hide – added Siewiera.

– But are there materials that accuse Macerevich? Konrad Piasecki asked. – To my knowledge, no. Otherwise, – there is nothing that public opinion does not know – answered the head of the National Security Bureau.
“At the National Security Bureau, those times are associated with the worst possible times.”
At the same time, the head of the National Security Bureau showed that in which issues he can have “very broad views” on Macerevich. – In addition to this main activity related to the Smolensk disaster, there is also the issue of delaying the reform of the management and command system. Big delays that have not materialized to date and the president wants to fix them. He contributed to his vision of the strategic law of the formation of the new architecture of the army, he said.
– I definitely have doubts about the way the Ministry of National Defense was managed at that time. At the National Security Bureau, those times are associated with the worst of times. There are many officers and employees of the National Security Bureau who have very bad memories from that time. “However, the commission, as far as I know – please update me – was created to track Russian influence,” Siviera said.

– But the commission believes that the Russians could have influenced the decision to abandon the weapons programs. Logic suggests this, Piasecki noted.
– I looked at SKiD reforms and delays in this area, that is, the management and command system, more quickly than the programs that were canceled – answered Siviera.
The TVN24 guest also noted that when it comes to documentation, he was also denied access to the first influence committee headed by Slawomir Tsenckevich. – It was good at that time, although the conclusions were drawn up very precisely based on specific documents and specific pages. And today it raises some doubts. There are no exceptions, no matter who is trying to get this type of information, he added.
