– In the Collegium Humanum case, there is a case about people who intentionally bought the rights to a diploma within a week or a day (…). However, as far as I know, there were also university students who took part in these studies, Włodzimierz Czarzasty told reporters in Sejm.
The New Left leader mentioned diplomas. These are MBA-type graduate schools, and there are many opportunities to get into management positions, including in public organizations.
– I don't defend anyone, but I don't want to attack anyone. I think there were honest people there who studied normally. I'm not going to put them all in one bag – Deputy Speaker Seim continued.
Coalition for Change in Wrocław?Left announces decision
However, after the detention of Jacek Stryk, questions arose about the future of cooperation in the administration of the city of Wrocław. The city's vice presidents are Renata Granovska of the Civic Union and Riszard Kessler of the Left.
“I am very concerned about this situation and am surprised that President Stryk did not take the initiative for so long to do anything to clarify the issue of relations with Collegium Hunum,” Anna said.・Maria Zhukovska said.
Stryk ran for local elections with support from KO and the left. The head of a left-wing club said today that her organization does not pretend to have “walked with Porter”. – In the near future, we, as a left wing, will take a decision in Wrocław about what to do next with this, Zhukowski pointed out.
He added that Stryk's detention is “a burden to all those who form the coalition government with the president in Wrocław.” – Let's see how it ends (…). Lawmakers emphasized the presumption of innocence.
Collegium Hunum Incident. Marek Sawicki talks about the necessity of SKW activities
PSL's Marek Sawicki also drew attention to the importance of the Collegium Hunum incident. – Prosecutors also need to ask SKW and ABW where they have been and why such a large-scale operation has been unfolding in Poland for so many years. We must clarify the issue of Uzbekistan and Ukraine, and by extension, the issue of implicit Russian services that may infiltrate in an uncontrolled manner through this university into European countries, including Poland, their economies, and the lives of their people. The politician pointed out that this is not just a matter of selling MBA diplomas.
In February 2024, prosecutors detained Collegium Hunum's rector and charged him with leading an organized crime group and issuing MBA certificates as bribes, among other crimes.
Meanwhile, in September this year, PiS politician Lizard Czarnetski was indicted. Investigators say he is suspected of using political influence and corruption to run Uzbekistan's Collegium Hunum branch. Prosecutors suspect that those who obtained the documents were able to obtain Schengen visas thanks to the MBA diplomas issued there.
– Mr. Sawicki pointed out that, in my opinion, this is a bigger problem with the organized activities of Russia, which used this university on the territory of the Republic of Poland, and, as it turned out, also used politicians.
Mr. Jacek Stryk was detained by CBA. Marek Suski: Platforms want to obscure the situation
Maus Vicak also expressed his outrage over the incident. – There can be no sacred cows in this matter and all those involved in this kind of scandal must be interrogated and undergo certain procedures. Please remember that this is a scandal centered around PiS officials. This is a huge scandal involving opening stalls with diplomas, the KO MP told reporters.
Meanwhile, PiS's Marek Saski claims that Stryk's detention incident is a so-called “incident”. lid. “The platform wanted to hide the situation with Mrs. Kinga Gajewska's family, so I thought someone had to be sacrificed on the altar,” the parliamentarian said.
His party colleagues remind Stryk of his support for Rafał Czaskowski's candidacy in the KO presidential primary. “These PO primaries are interesting,” Anna Zalewska wrote in X, publishing a photo of Soutryk and Trzaskowski together. Konfederacja's Sławomir Mentzen spoke in a similar tone. “Just yesterday, Jacek Stryk managed to support Rafał Trzaskowski, but already this morning he was detained in the CBA. Will Rafał Trzaskowski now send his greetings to his friend in prison? ” – the lawmaker wrote on social media.
PiS MP Andrzej Silifka then mentioned the Prime Minister. “President Jacek Stryk, a friend of Donald Tusk and with whom we share common values for building Poland, has been detained by the CBA,'' the politician stressed.
Interior Ministry spokesperson Jacek Dobrzynski announced on Thursday afternoon that another person had been detained at Wrocław airport in connection with the Collegium Hunum incident.
